Jiujiang Liansheng Industrial Group is a private conglomerate primarily engaged in commerce and trade, and was once one of the most influential business leaders in Jiujiang and the broader northern Jiangxi region. At its peak, the group’s operations spanned department stores, supermarkets, real estate, and other sectors, and it even funded a professional football club, giving it considerable local prominence. In recent years, however, the company’s operations have steadily deteriorated, with its supermarkets and shopping centers shutting down one after another, leaving the group on the brink of collapse.
